An expert investment team

After passing through DWS Investments and Credit Suisse, he joined Metagestión at the beginning of 2007 as an analyst and co-manager. In 2012 he became CIO until May 2018, when he joined Horos Asset Management. Javier holds a degree in Economics from the University of Salamanca (USAL) and a master’s degree in Finance from the Pontifical University of Comillas (ICADE). On top of that, in 2011 he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) professional certification by CFA Institute. In paralell, he is a professor in the master in Value Investing and the Business Cycle Theory at OMMA Business School and in the course of Expert in Stock Markets at the University of Alicante (UA). A voracious reader and a great basketball fan, Javier, along with his team, has managed to place the funds he has managed at the top of the 5-year profitability ranking.

Alejandro graduated in Business Administration and Management, and started his career at EY's audit department, before joining Metagestión SGIIC ’s management team at the beginning of 2013. Once completed, the team generated an annualized return of 16.5% and 14.3% in the Iberian and the international funds, respectively, until May 2018, when he moved to Horos Asset Management. He has received 2 Morningstar and Expansión awards for the best Spanish Equity Fund (2015 and 2016), and the Citywire prize for the best management team and best equity manager in Spain (2016 and 2017). Possibly the most restless mind in the office, his passion for investment and markets makes him a hard and tireless worker.

Miguel holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Salamanca (USAL) and a master’s degree in Stock Market and Financial Markets from the IEB. He started his career in finance as a risk analyst in BBVA, and then he worked as a financial analyst in ONEtoONE Corporate Finance and Global Corporate Finance. Before joining Metagestión SGIIC in 2014, he took part in Agbar Group's (Suez Environment Group) investment department. Finally, in May 2018, he started his current role at Horos Asset Management. Miguel is the biggest football fan in our team and is the perfect person to talk to or discuss any topic with.

José María holds a degree in Law from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE), an MBA from the Stern School of Business (NYU) and a master in Portfolio Management from the IEB. He has held various positions of responsibility in several international financial institutions, starting his professional career in New York as a stockbroker in Kidder, Peabody & Co. He subsequently worked in Bankers Trust, ABN AMRO Asset Management, and was Head of Sales in Spain and Portugal for JP Morgan Asset Management and Managing Director in Spain for Allianz Global Investors. In his last stage he was Partner of W4i Investment Advisors Limited and CEO of Metagestión SGIIC. His seniority and extensive experience don't turn him into someone boring, quite the oppostite, he is the funniest member in the office.

Beatriz holds a degree in Business Studies and a degree in Economics from the University of Salamanca (USAL). After completing a master’s degree in Accounting and Taxation, she began her career as an account auditor. In 2007 she joined Metagestión SGIIC where she became the head of administration.

Rodrigo holds a degree in Economics from the University of Alcalá de Henares (UAH). In 2012, while studying, he began working in the administration department of a construction company. Two years later, his proactive spirit led him to found a startup of his own called White & Lemon, a consumer goods company. In 2017 he launched a new brand, “Rod bags”, dedicated to accessories. He has the most entrepreneurial mind in the office.

Mayra holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid (URJC). She began her career at Banco Inversis, where she was a depositary technician, and then he worked at Gesconsult SGIIC's the mutual funds and SICAVs administration department.

Diego holds a degree in Business Administration and Law from the University of Navarra (UNAV). After gaining experience working in the legal field and at Banco Sabadell, in 2022 he made the leap to analysing companies as part of the investment team at a family office. He is the youngest colleague at the office.

Arturo holds a degree in Commerce from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), a master's degree in Value Investing and the Business Cycle Theory from OMMA Business School Madrid, and a dual master degree in Marketing and Sales Management from ESIC-URJC. He has spent most of his career in positions of responsibility within the marketing area in the engineering and higher education sectors. Passionate about value investing, and financial education more broadly, he enjoys talking at length about investments, music and sports.
